Grace Water Damage and Flood Cleanup
As most of you are aware, during the heavy rains of Saturday, June 30, several spaces in our lower level sustained damage. After inspecting the area on July 1, it was originally believed we only had minor water damage. It was later found that water had gone higher and receded, with the lovely addition of a sewer backup. Among those areas affected were Msindo Hall, the old kitchen, old music rooms, some Grace Kids Care rooms, and items stored in these spaces.
Many individuals have been here almost daily since we learned of the damage. They, and others, have been working incredibly hard at clean-up, sorting, moving, demolition, hauling smelly stuff to dumpsters, sanitizing, organizing, and loaning equipment and tools. We appreciate all they have accomplished.
We will share an update in the August Friendly Visitor.
