Little Free Pantry Team
The LFP Team at Grace stocks the Little Free Pantry, located outside on 52nd Street near the garden, currently nine times a week. We maintain this service to the community thanks to donations, which include money, food, and personal care items. Each month, our shoppers restock our backstock room so there are items available to refill the LFP. In 2024 we spent an average of $886 per month on diapers, toilet paper, soap, and feminine products, in addition to shelf-stable food. This translates to 500 – 600 packaged items a month, some of which are multi-pack items that can be distributed individually, such as Ramen noodles, oatmeal, bar soap, etc.
As devoted financial stewards of your contribution dollars we strive to find the lowest prices, buying items on sale and in bulk. Our monthly shopping usually includes trips to Aldi, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Dollar Tree, and HyVee. Occasionally, we find deals at Fareway, Costco, and Menards.
Join our team
Team Members each have an assigned day to fill the pantry, some days we have a morning and afternoon team. Your time is flexible – come in the span of hours that works for your schedule. Team members also fill in for each other during vacations.
