Star Tree

We support LSI’s Early Development Program and Mosaic local group homes.

During the Christmas season each group provides us with a list of clients and their favorite colors, activities, wishes, and sizes. These are added to paper stars and hung on a tree in the Gathering Hall each year. The Star tree is a favorite activity of many in the congregation, with members, families, and student groups choosing one or more stars/clients to shop for. Gifts are returned to the church and collected by representatives of each organization.

LSI’s Early Childhood Program provides supportive services to at-risk single mothers from the prenatal period until age five when the child enters kindergarten.

Mosaic is a faith-based organization serving adults with intellectual disabilities
