Amazing Medical Debt Reduction update!

Our Medical Debt Reduction Campaign has successfully abolished a total of $2,054,555.96 in debt for 1,710 people in Iowa!

The 1710 families are now receiving letters from Undue/RIP informing them that their medical debt has been fully forgiven, TAX FREE, thanks to a gift from Grace Lutheran Church, Des Moines. 525 of those recipients reside in Polk County, with a total of $849,176.78 forgiven locally.

Because we were also able to partner with THEE Alliance (Minnesota and Upper Midwest Faith Communities Forgiving Financial Hardship Families’ Medical Debt for “Pennies on the Dollar.” theealliance.org, which works with RIP/UnDue Medical Debt) the money we raised was able to forgive older debt at $0.78 per $100 forgiven instead of the average $1.00 forgiving $100!
