Caregiver Book Club
It is a new kind of challenge to be a parent these days, many of us home with kids who don’t particularly care to be there. Before the pandemic I (Ellen) had the idea that perhaps a moms/parents/grandparents book group might be a neat way to connect us and build up that community of caregivers within our faith community. I am thinking that now, more than ever, that shared connection and support might serve as a balm. After discussion with those who responded, we settled on the book “Searching for Sunday” by Rachel Held Evans.
We will be “meeting” on the first and third Thursday evenings of each month at 7 p.m. This past Thursday, May 7, we discussed the Epilogue, Prologue, Chapters 1-3 (Audible Chapters 1-5). If you want to join in, please contact [email protected] We have room for a few members, or might consider starting a second group if another day works best.
