God’s Work Our Hands

Gods Work Our Hands:
We will enjoy a brief worship together in Grace Hall before we dive into our God’s Work Our Hands Project!

We will be working on a project for Moore Elementary School, creating a personal care pantry for their families. When we reached out to Moore, household supplies and hygiene products were high on their list of needs. Young families struggling with increasing cost of goods often need to choose between paying for rent and food or hygiene supplies. As with the Little Free Pantries, making hygiene, laundry, and cleaning supplies accessible allows people to maintain a sense of dignity and decreases the need for tough choices.

Funded by the Grace Mission Action Fund, the pantry itself will be at Moore Elementary, while storage for additional items will be here at Grace.

For the project, we will be splitting into 3 groups.

  • The first group will go shopping for pantry items. This group will be coordinated by Tammy Denton and Kari Dostalik. Those that wish to help with the shopping will be given a list of items to purchase at specific stores.
  • The second group will be assembling the shelves for the storage room. Dean Watson will be the point person for this group.
  • The third group will be putting together first aid kits. This group will be coordinated by Cathy Watson. We have the materials for the kits onsite and ready to be assembled on Sunday.

After the project, we will gather for lunch in Grace Hall. Aaron Brandsfield has graciously volunteered to operate the grill for us.
