February Sunday School* Service Learning:
Household Welcome for Afghans Settling in Central Iowa
The Sunday School is sponsoring a service learning opportunity for the congregation during February. Lutheran Services of Iowa is helping to settle Afghan refugees locally. We are collecting household goods to welcome these new neighbors to the Des Moines area. Collection dates will be Sunday mornings, Feb 20 & 27 from 10:00-11:30. Cathy Watson WILL be onsite at Grace, even on dates when we are not worshiping in person. If you need a different time, please contact the church office. Find a detailed list from LSI on page 6 of the February Friendly Visitor. A Thrivent Action Grant has been applied for to help fund this project.

*Please note that Sunday School itself will not meet until March, when we hope to be back in person.
