Sept. 8 Garage Sale to benefit Little Free Pantry

God’s Work Our Hands Community Garage Sale and Meal to support the Little Free Pantry!

On Sunday, September 8, we will be holding a community garage sale in Grace Hall, from 8 – 11 a.m. A community meal in the parking lot will follow the end of the garage sale.

Proceeds will be used to support the Little Free Pantry Backstock.

The neighborhood is invited to be a part of any or all of the activities – clear unneeded items from their home to donate, to shop, help with the sale, and to enjoy the picnic (food provided) and live music free of charge.

• Tours of Grace will be offered.
• The meal will begin at 11:30 a.m. outside, picnic style, with burgers/hotdogs, chips, cookies, and water provided by Grace. Bring lawnchairs and/or picnic blankets. Rain date for the picnic will be Sunday September 15

Donations and set up:
Friday September 6, 3 people each shift: 8 a.m. – noon, noon – 4 p.m., 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Saturday September 7, 6 people 8 a.m. – noon

Bags and boxes: Please bring your empty, clean grocery sacks and packing boxes to the entry hall

between now and September 8

 

Garage Sale, Sunday 7:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Parking lot greeters to direct people

Hospitality in the Entrance Hall to welcome and direct, tours on the half hour

Checkout team (accepting cash payment, bagging items)

Loading Team: Those who can assist others with bigger items

At-large helpers to straighten tables and help shoppers as needed 

 

Clean-up/packing crew:

Boxing leftover items. 8-10 people from 11 to 11:30 a.m. This part will go fast!

 

Meal:
People to shop for food items the week of the sale: 2 people

Grill masters to start before the meal

Food set-up/servers/supply runners: 11:00 – 12:30 (you will be able to trade off after the initial rush.
