Suspicious emails: Please read

Please note!
Someone has sent a member a phishing email from an address imitating our email address, asking for gift cards, saying they will ‘pay you back later’.

This is NOT a request from a Grace staff member.
We do not use titles such as pastor in our staff addresses. While staff have various personal family email addresses, we do not list our staff position or gracedm in those personal addresses. Emails from the church only come from our domain.

Staff emails all start with our first name, and come from our own domain – ending in @gracedm.org

We do have [email protected] listed on our website and some ads. Those emails are forwarded to the correct party, and we respond from our named accounts only. You can find our emails on the website, the front page of the Grace newsletter, and the back of the bulletins (both also found on our website).

If ANY person or organization emails you a request for money, gift cards, money transfers, etc., do not respond. Instead, look up their website, or phone number on your own, and please call that person or organization to verify that it is them before taking any action.

And if you are wary and think an email coming from our staff sounds suspicious? Please check – we won’t mind one bit!
