Thanksgiving and the Little Free Pantry

Our Little Free Pantry on 52nd street near the garden is being used!

There are quite a few personal care and hygiene items remaining, (plus toilet paper on the reverse side) but the food and snacks are being taken.

When shopping for your own Thanksgiving think about adding an extra can or box of your favorite sides for the pantry: Cans of corn, green beans, carrots, fried onions and mushroom soup, pumpkin and sweet potatoes, applesauce, cranberry sauce, boxes of stuffing…

When the weather turns cold, beware putting water packed veggies in, as they may freeze overnight. Once our pantry is more well know food may not stay long, but until then, bring water packed veggies inside for the DMARC bin in the entryway, and we can place things outside on warmer days.
