Wednesdays Longest Night Worship Service
Published on December 20, 2022 • Michelle Voelker
Due to the blizzard conditions expected the next few days, we want to keep everyone home and safe. This interactive worship will occur online only as a Facebook Live.
If you are not a user of Facebook, you can still find us by typing @GraceLutheranDM into your browser window.
You can find a printable Longest Night bulletin here – this bulletin also contains a link that will take you directly to the event. https://gracedm.org/content/uploads/2022/12/The-Longest-Night-Online-Service-Bulletin.pdf
We look forward to seeing you there, safe and warm. Our description of the event:
We recognize that the season of Advent and Christmas is also a time for grief for many people. For those who mourn the losses of loved ones, those estranged from their families, or for the many reasons the season opens up doors to feel sorrow. This service is a time to reflect upon grief as a community; to not have to put on the holly jolly smile for family and friends. This will be an interactive service where you will be able to submit prayers and respond to the community during the live event, or simply partake quietly from the comfort of your own home. Even if you are not feeling the holiday blues, you are invited to be a part of the community as a support for those who need it. For questions, please email [email protected].
